The Transitions Program aims to identify the strengths and interests of participants as they take part in employment and meaningful community involvement beyond high school. This program provides a full year of classroom learning, enriching community volunteerism, job shadowing, and onsite paid work experience to build the confidence, interests and resumes of participants. The program includes a 3-month onsite paid work experience (9 hours a week) from January-March with ASNL’s social enterprise The Pantry Café and Gardens as well as the opportunity to take part in WHIMS and Emergency First Aid trainings.
The Employment Works Program is a 12 week-long program designed for individuals who want to enter or return to the workforce, and who are interested to developing and practicing the skills needed for successful employment.
STEP (Students Transitioning into Employment Program) is a year-long program designed for high school students to build self-awareness and skills through structured learning sessions and volunteerism with the ultimate goal of identifying appropriate employment or post-secondary choices upon school leaving.
