Since 1974, RNUNL has been committed to improving the working conditions and quality of life for registered nurses in Newfoundland and Labrador. Before 1974, the terms and conditions of employment for registered nurses were considered a private matter between the employer and the employee, and were shaped by the prevailing economic and political conditions of the time.
