About
Adult Basic Education (ABE): ABE is a provincial program for adult learners and is made up of three levels: Level I refers to basic literacy and roughly equates to levels K-6; Level II is considered equivalent to grades 7-9; and Level III corresponds to grades 10-12 and requires the completion of a minimum of 36 credits in order to graduate.
Canadian Adult Education Credential (CAEC): CAEC provides a high-quality, made-in-Canada education credential that meets industry standards as a replacement for the General Educational Development (GED). Employers, post-secondary institutions, and others will be able to count on the CAEC as a reliable indicator of Canadian adults’ level of educational achievement.
Foundational Literacy and One-to-One Tutoring: This program focuses on essential reading, writing, numeracy, and digital literacy skills tailored to adults. It aims to build a strong foundation for further education, lifelong learning, and practical everyday tasks.
Support for Adults with Learning Disabilities: This service includes specialized tutoring, screening, and advocacy to support adults, assist adults overcome challenges, and achieve their personal, educational, and professional goals.
