About
IPGS provides programs and support for those pursuing a career in a skilled trade; registers apprentices and monitors their progression through to journeyperson certification, and reviews the applications of seasoned workers who wish to obtain certification via the trade qualifier process.
IPGS also provides employment and job search services and assistance for individuals including: making an employment plan, accessing services and supports, employment counselling, career planning (including self-employment), workshops, training and job search including via Government of Canada's Job Bank. IPGS also provides assistance to employers regarding: recruitment, retention, training, skills development, and financial assistance via wage subsidies and training grants.
