The Community Employment Collaboration is a backbone initiative that links community agencies working in the area of employment in St. John's, Newfoundland. It’s work is based on a framework of more - better - different; As partners network and cooperate, the community employment sector can do MORE with their resources, as they coordinate and partner they can do BETTER across their agencies and when community partners collaborate, they can do DIFFERENT; they can innovate and provide the best solutions for the people our agencies serve. CEC’s common vision is to: strengthen the employment collaboration as a cohesive sector with a unified voice and supports collaborative activities to: -Enhance planning, problem-solving and sharing of expertise, -Support a high level of networking and sharing of timely information across the employment sector, -Facilitate a thriving community of practice to support service excellence among career practitioners, -Increase capacity for strategic learning through data collection, management, reporting and accountability.
